Speak Life: The Preschool Graduation

This week I attended my second ever preschool graduation.  The first one was just a few weeks prior, for my goddaughter. This time around,  I was asked to cheer the program. Initially, when I agreed to cheer, I was under the impression that it was a Primary School graduation since it was being hosted at... Continue Reading →

“I Still Matter”

I Still Matter by Pat A. Fleming I'M STILL HERE My looks are nothing special, My face reveals my age, My body shows some wear and tear, And my energy's not the same. Too often my memory fails me, And I lose things all the time. One minute I know what I plan to do,... Continue Reading →

“In My Eyes”

In My Eyes by James A. Kisner He's rough and lacks in etiquette, Society would say. He has no classy attributes, To help him on his way. He's not a fancy dresser, And he's not so trimmed and neat. With simple clothes and simple shoes, He wears upon his feet. He doesn't belong to a... Continue Reading →

“I Bend”

I bend By Selena Odom I bend but do not break. I’ve been lost, but I’m not a loser. I’m a wreck, but I’m not totalled. I’m fractured but not broken. I’ve failed, but I’m not a failure. I’ve fallen hard but can get up again. I’m isolated, but still, I’m free. I have been destroyed... Continue Reading →

Help Yourself to Happiness: Helen Steiner Rice   We are truly happy when we give to others. Everybody, everywhere seeks happiness, it’s true, But finding it and keeping it seems difficult to do. “Just One”

Just One One song can spark a moment. One flower can wake a dream. One tree can start a forest. One bird can herald spring. One smile begins a friendship. One handclasp lifts a soul. “It Couldn’t Be Done”

It Couldn’t Be Done BY EDGAR ALBERT GUEST Somebody said that it couldn’t be done       But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one       Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin       On his face. If he worried he hid... Continue Reading →

I’m Pressing On ~

Keep pressing on…

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

I'm Pressing On ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I’m pressing on,
till these problems are gone
I’m moving forward
with my eyes looking heaven ward.

I’m trusting God,
and the guidance of His rod
I’m letting go
knowing the way He will show.

I’m going slowly,
keeping my life before Him lowly
I’m praying that my Savior
will soon grant me His favor.

I’m believing in His leading,
and I’m practicing my heeding
I’m doing my best
and letting God do the rest.

I’m pressing on,
till these problems are gone
I’m pressing towards the goal
with all my heart and soul!

Philippians 3:12
King James Version

“Not as though I had already attained,
either were already perfect: but I follow after,
if that I may apprehend that for which also
I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”
